Swamp Cross – Team Florida’s First Cyclocross Race – Is This weekend!

Our first ever cyclocross race, organized in conjunction with 352 Racing p/b Bikes and More, is this weekend, Saturday (12/3) and Sunday (12/4).  Check out the flier below (or at http://www.usacycling.org/events/getflyer.php?permit=2011-3401).  Collegiate races start at 10AM on Saturday and 9AM on Sunday.  Cyclocross specific bikes or mountain bikes can be used.  If you don’t have either and would like to race, we have loaners – just contact me.

Cyclocross is by far the most fun you can have while riding a bike.  If you are new to idea of racing or cyclocross please don’t hesitate, as cross race is more about having fun then anything else.

We are going to have music, the Grilled Cheese Wagon (mmm grilled cheese), Hoggetowne Ale Works, and other surprises.  It really is a great time, so bring out your friends and family, come out and race, volunteer, spectate and eat grilled cheese.

We, the TF officers work hard to plan and promote the races for our own team, UF students, and the Gainesville cycling community.
